Cressi-Sub Regulators . . .

Here we have a selection of the 2005 range of Cressi Sub Regulators.

Ellipse Titanium Ellipse Titanium
A new generation regulator that sits at the top of the market due to its exceptional features. The small size, combined with the use of sophisticated hi-tech polymers and various parts made from titanium, make it possible to keep the weight exceptionally low.
The regulator is technologically state-of-the-art, thanks to a series of new finds, patented, which highlight the performance. The following are patented: the fold-out opening of the casing, the special folding diaphragm, the computer designed lever, the tilting movement of the poppet, the seal between regulator valve and casing, the possibility of extracting the entire air supply system from the body of the 2nd stage.

The result of all this technology is a regulator that supplies air with unheard of gentleness and fluidity. All of this with an excellent price/quality ratio.

1st stage
Ellipse Titanium comes with the MC7 diaphragm balanced first stage. It is a very modern first stage, with very high performance, while being easy to maintain and very strong. The “in line” configuration with the air outlet from the tank guarantees very high performance, reducing drops in pressure to a minimum. The MC7 first stage is hyper-balanced, guaranteeing a rise in the intermediate pressure when the air supply in the tank begins to drop. So the regulator provides maximum performance in the final stage of the dive, notoriously the most critical.

The MC7 model can be supplied with an antifreeze kit, which completely seals diaphragm and spring from contact with the water, making it suitable for use even in extreme conditions.
It comes in the 3 versions: INT, DIN 200 bar and DIN 300.

Ellipse Alaska Ellipse Alaska
The new Ellipse Alaska, which joins the Ellipse Titanium, Ellipse and Ellipse Octopus, completes the Ellipse range of regulators.
This model has been designed mainly for use in cold water.
The MC7 diaphragm first stage comes with the standard issue antifreeze kit and the second stage is identical to the one used in the Ellipse Titanium.

The first stage of the Ellipse Alaska is the already famous and excellent Cressi MC7 model balanced diaphragm. It comes with the antifreeze kit, which provides an additional waterproof chamber, to screw onto the end of the first stage. This chamber ends with a silicon diaphragm on the outside that seals off the inside from contact with water, while still transmitting any pressure variation to the inner organs, thanks to the flexibility of the material.
The antifreeze kit is composed of two main parts, both made from strong chrome-plated brass. There is a mushroom element inside, made from acetylic resin, which connects the external diaphragm to the internal one.

The use of the antifreeze kit completely eliminates any water seepage into the external part of the first stage, so not only does it prevent the formation of ice in this area, but it also prevents the formation of deposits and incrustations on the diaphragm and on the spring. This provides considerable advantages for divers working in mineral-rich water or with lots of suspension (archaeological sites, port works, caving etc...)

ELLIPSE ELLIPSE
The younger brother of Ellipse Titanium, it imitates all the exceptional features of the leading regulator, with a casing made from sophisticated and strong hi-tech polymers.
All the parts of Ellipse Titanium, most of which are patented, are technologically used: the fold-out opening of the casing, the special folding diaphragm, the computer designed lever, the tilting movement of the poppet, the seal between regulator valve and casing, the possibility of extracting the entire air supply system from the body of the 2nd stage.

Air regulation is extremely gently and the amount of air delivered is considerable, even given the traditional piston-balanced first stage. Ellipse has no rivals on the market in terms of quality-price ratio.

1st stage
Ellipse comes with the traditional Cressi AC2 piston model. This is a non-balanced first stage with such high performance that it can be compared to lots of excellent balanced models. The small number of components, the low weight and the excellent materials make it the strongest Cressi first stages, and the most steadfast to maltreatment, a real “working horse” amongst regulators. An ingenious bush system allows easy and rapid external regulation of the intermediate pressure , it has an exceptional air flow, a lot higher than what is found on the market for this kind of first stage and that easily stands up to comparison with the balanced models in terms of performance. It comes with both international yoke or 200 or 300 bar DIN connection and boasts the exclusive feature of enabling easy and quick adjustment of the intermediate pressure.

AIRTECH AIRTECH
In the range of Cressi regulators, Airtech is the top of the line model. It comes with traditionally sized 2nd stage casing and takes advantage of all the most modern technology to offer the best in all situations. The downstream regulating system has a very light piston made from hi-tech polymers, pneumatically balanced, which guarantees constant performance, irrespective of the depth or the pressure in the tank.

The 2nd stage has a dual adjustment system: an upper deviator that acts on the Venturi effect and a side knob to regulate inhalation effort. The size of the 2nd stage has no effect on the weight, which is very light because of the use of special hi-tech polymers and titanium inserts.

1st stage
Airtech comes with both the MC7 hyper-balanced diaphragm or the AC10 piston balanced 1st stage; their performance is very similar so it is up to the user to choose the system they prefer.
The MC7 balanced diaphragm 1st stage boasts very high performance, while being easy to maintain and very strong.

The MC7 model can be supplied with an antifreeze kit, which completely seals the diaphragm from contact with the water, making it suitable for use even in extreme conditions.

It comes in the 3 versions: INT, DIN 200 bar and DIN 300 bar.
AC10 piston-balanced first stage is the latest version of the Cressi piston balanced model, produced for many years and highly appreciated due to its excellent characteristics of strength and simplicity. Over the years it has undergone a constant evolution combined with a considerable increase in performance. The AC10 version comes with a revolving turret with some 5 low pressure outlets, a sintered filter and the really handy Cressi system for external calibration of the intermediate pressure.
It comes in the 3 versions: INT, DIN 200 bar and DIN 300 bar.

XS2 XS2
XS2 is the most inexpensive regulator in the Cressi range. The body of the 2nd stage is traditionally sized, made from hi-tech polymers and with a lateral valve downstream system with adjustable orifice, simple and extremely reliable. A flow of pilot air is channelled to the mouthpiece by injection, enhancing the performance.
The 2nd stage comes with a a flow deviator that acts on the Venturi effect, with dive/pre-dive function.

Constantly reviewed over the years, this regulator has lots of admirers in the world due to the fact that it is extremely simple and strong, features that make it easy to use and result in low-cost maintenance. In any case, performance levels are high, and it is suitable for any kind of dive.

Octopus Ellipse Octopus Ellipse
Octopus Ellipse uses the same casing as the Ellipse model made from special hi-tech polymers, the only difference being the yellow front cover. The hose is also yellow and is longer (100 cm against the standard 76 cm).

All the parts of Ellipse, most of which are patented, can be found on this regulator: the fold-out opening of the casing, the special folding diaphragm, the computer designed lever, the tilting movement of the piston, the seal between regulator valve and casing, the possibility of extracting the entire valve system from the body of the 2nd stage.
A flow of pilot air is channelled to the mouthpiece by injection, enhancing the performance.

The upper part of the body has a flow deviator that acts on the Venturi effect, with dive/pre-dive function.

The performance is extremely high, although the calibration is regulated so that the inhalation effort is slightly greater than on the Ellipse, to prevent any self-regulating possibility when it is used as a spare regulator. Octopus Ellipse suits all the Cressi first stages perfectly and all the first stages with an intermediate pressure between 9 and 10 bar.
